Collector Systems
Polychem Systems, Division of Brentwood Industries, Inc. has been engineering, manufacturing, and supplying Non-Metallic Sludge Collection Systems for Rectangular Clarifiers for over 25 years.
Collector Systems:
Four-Shaft Rectangular Clarifiers:
Typical 4-shaft collector for rectangular clarifiers: Removes bottom sludge to a sludge hopper at the influent end of the clarifier; also skims floating surface scum and discharges it via a scum pipe.
American Petroleum Institute (API) Tank Systems
Polychem Systems collector equipment has been successfully operating in a variety of industrial applications, including API (American Petroleum Institute) tanks for oil/water separation.
Three-Shaft Rectangular Clarifiers:
Typical 3-shaft collector for rectangular clarifiers: removes bottom sludge only. Commonly used in water treatment plants and/or combined with inclined plate or tube settler applications.
Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) Tanks:
Separate systems for sludge removal and surface skimming of floating scum up an inclined beaching plate. Power skimmers are also available.
Stacked Clarifiers:
Typical 4-shaft collector for both upper and lower decks of stacked clarifiers. Used where clarifier space is limited. Trayed installations also available.
Grit Bucket Collectors:
Typical 5-shaft collector for grit removal. The grit is collected in non-metallic buckets, elevated, and discharged via a chute. Stainless steel barrel wrap protects the collector chain.
Dual Collectors:
An alternate collector layout for longer clarifiers or for more rapid sludge removal. Collector moves sludge to central sludge hopper.
